Do I have to bring a Library card with me when I use the Library?

No! All you need to provide when checking materials out from our Library is your name.

Is my Library account only good at the Joslin Memorial?

No. All three valley Libraries (Joslin, Moretown and Warren) are connected. Your account is good at all three Libraries.

Is it possible to access my account online?

Yes it is. Go to joslinmemoriallibrary.com. Enter KOHA by clicking on the icon, or picture, for KOHA (our online catalog). In the upper right hand corner, you can ‘log in to your account’. You will need your patron number and password. If you do not know your password, call the Library at 496-4205 and we’d be happy to set one up for you.

What are the borrowing limits?

Our materials can be checked out for two weeks. Some passes and special book borrowing agreements may be taken out for longer.  If that time is up and you would like a longer borrowing period, you can renew your materials (as long as nobody else is waiting for them) either online or over the phone.

How do I renew my materials online?

As above, enter KOHA through joslinmemoriallibrary.com. Log in to your account. Once logged in, you will see an overview of your account., including your checkouts. You can renew your materials here.

How do I place a hold on a book?

You’ll first want to log in to your account. (see above). Search for the title you are interested in. At the bottom of the search result that is the title you are looking for, click ‘place hold’. Make sure you choose the Joslin Memorial Library’s copy, and not one from another library. If you would prefer, you can also call the Library at 496.4205 and do it over the phone.

May I request a book from another Library?

Yes. If there is a book you are looking for, and you do not find it at the Joslin Memorial Library, you can come into the Library when it is open and fill out an InterLibrary Loan slip, or you can call 496.4205 and do it over the phone. We will contact you if we need any further information, and when the requested title has come in.

Do you have computers I can use?

We have two public access computers, as well as two laptops (one Dell, one MacBook). You can also copy/print/scan/fax here.  In addition to our computers we have two ipads, one for children that can be used in the library and one that can be checked out.
